Maybe it's selfish, but I've done the whole go into labour, have the contractions, push out the baby thing and I kinda don't want to do it anymore. Yes, it's surgery, and yes, I'm grateful to be carrying this baby, but I'm tired. I'm 36. I'm a mom. I work full time. I just want to have the baby and honestly I don't think my body can do it, safely, this time.
Beyond that, things are good. The little guy is strong, and quite the kicker. I feel a lot of movement, and according to my blog with Morgan, I wasn't feeling this much at all at this point. So that's a nice little bit of reassurance as my days tick along!
How far along: 22 weeks
Due Date: March 24, 2020 (aiming for an early cesarean around March 17!)
Baby is the size of a(n): pepper
Total weight gain/loss: Around 5 lbs total so far.
The Bump: Yes, growing lots, some stretching and irritation.
Symptoms/How I'm feeling: Heartburn, pulled muscles, pinched nerves
Food Cravings/Aversions: nope.
Sleep: not great, I'm in pain a lot
Weddings Rings On or Off: On.
Exercise: Not really. Some walking.
Any Names Picked Out Yet: Yes. Not telling.
Gender: Boy!
Movement: More and more every week!
Maternity Clothes: Bella band. It's the best. I also have a few maternity tops/tanks, and I'll just layer over the tanks to hide my belly. I've had to order some more tops.
Labor Signs: None. Will not feel these until at the earliest, my third trimester.
What I miss: not being pregnant. I just want this little guy to be a part of our family, and to get on with our lives!
Best Moment of the Week: Feeling a lot more movement.
What I’m excited about/looking forward to: shopping! I need baby boy stuff! Shower is going to be happening sometime in February.
