That was pretty much the highlight of my morning!
It does bring up the need for a winter coat that will cover my belly, as I suspect that just because we had a terrible non-summer, does not mean that we will be gifted a warm winter. Mother Nature doesn't work like that.
Beyond the weather attire situation, things have been good. I hate not having appointments to find out about baby but I do know that I have one in November and that in THAT appointment, we will hopefully find out the sex. Plus, I'm constantly worried that something is going wrong in there. I wish I could relax. But I do want to see that the little guy or gal is thriving.
I think I should post another bumpdate as well, but I think weekly bumpdates are a little ambitious and probably unnecessary at this point, since there isn't too much of a difference from one week to the next.
Edit: I just had my check up and heard baby's heartbeat, not to mention baby is wiggling around like crazy in there so there's definitely movement!
How far along?: 16 weeks
Due Date: March 24, 2020
Baby is the size of a(n): avocado
Total weight gain/loss: I gained about 3 or 4 pounds
The Bump: Yes, I think I popped a bit this week.
Symptoms/How I'm feeling: Heartburn, which I forgot to mention was an issue last week too! Very tired, party due to being sick. Irritable this week. Also some round ligament pain, which I did experience last time. And I pull a muscle doing pretty much damn near anything, so that's great :)
Food Cravings/Aversions: Mostly aversions: most food tastes like it's gone off. I need to make sure I get back into eating lots of berries and veggies this week.
Sleep: Better, uncomfortable because it is harder to switch from one side to the other.
Weddings Rings On or Off: On. But I suspect this trimester will change that.
Exercise: A bit of walking, I want to start using my kettlebells again to strengthen my core and legs again.
Any Names Picked Out Yet: Yes. Not telling.
Gender: Unknown. November!
Movement: Starting to, yes. I read that this week I should or could start to feel even more!
Maternity Clothes: Pants, I was going to buy more but I think I'm just going to try the belly band - $40 instead of hundreds on pants. I will pick up some cute maternity tops though.
Labor Signs: None. Will not feel these until at the latest, my third trimester.
What I miss: Nothing crazy, I've been enjoying this pregnancy despite all the nonsense!
Best Moment of the Week: Finding out that I can still zip up my winter coat! It's not my warmest coat though.. that's still a thing I need to figure out.
What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Thanksgiving :)
